HEALTH & SAFETY
The general health and safety of students is a top priority for us. While no guarantees can be made regarding students’ health and safety while traveling, all of our travel programs are monitored carefully and vetted for safe travel by IWU’s Office of Risk Management. If a travel location is under a Travel Warning from the US Department of State, travel to that country by IWU students (even to an approved program) may be prohibited.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) webpage provides helpful information regarding health alerts and immunization requirements. A physical exam and/or statement of health may be required for travel. The IWU Health Clinic is a helpful resource for students who need to have health screenings and/or immunizations for international travel.
