Kappa Delta Pi (KDP)

Purpose

Kappa Delta Pi is an international honor society in education that promotes excellence in and recognizes outstanding contributions to education.

Membership Requirements

Membership is open to education majors who have these qualifications:

• Demonstration of worthy education ideals
• Expression of the intention to continue the field of education
• Manifestation of desirable professional qualities
• Evidence of leadership attributes
• Junior level status or higher
• Overall GPA of 3.2 or greater
• Enrolled in the Teacher Education Program
• Obtain disposition recommendation from on Teacher Education faculty member and one other faculty member.

Members are elected by a committee and invited into the organization.
