Journey to Success is a peer mentoring program designed to assist incoming freshman living in North Hall Complex – East and South Hall Complex – East with the transition from high school to college. Each student assigned to live in NHC – East or SHC – East is matched with an upperclassmen peer mentor (a.k.a. Journey Mentor) who resides in NHC – West or SHC- West. The Journey Mentor will not only serve as a guide, resource, big brother/sister, and friend throughout the first year of college, but will also help with growth in character, scholarship and leadership. This unique living option provides first-year students the opportunity to live among fellow freshman adjusting to college life as well as gain the helpful advice and experience of a trained upperclassmen peer mentor who lives right across the lobby!

Here is what current North Hall Complex - East residents are saying about their experience:
"I love living in North Hall, and I think the mentoring program has been great in my transition into college. It made me feel accepted right off the bat. Even after the first few days, it's still fun to catch up with my mentor. Although she is older, she's more of a peer than an authority." - Natalie '13
" My mentor has given me so much advice that has helped me out tremendously. She told me a lot about what professors expect from the students and how to prepare for exams, but at the same time to get involved so that I can meet other people. My mentor also showed me where all of my classes were before my classes started that help relieved a lot of my stress the first week of school." - Jordyn '13
"My favorite part had been to know that I have someone to talk to if I need anything. I also enjoy having and upper-classmen to talk to and give me advise about classes and college life!" - Maribeth '13
