To assist student organization and their advisors with campus procedures and utilizing campus resources, Student Activities has developed the following:

If you are interested in starting a new student organization, please visit the Student Development office for information and the necessary forms.
Note: The deadline for submitting new organizations for review in the Fall 2009 semester is Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Requests received after that will be considered during the Spring 2010 term.  The deadline for Spring 2010 review is Wednesday, March 3, 2010.  Requests received after that date will be considered during the Fall 2010 term.

 

 

ACCESS FOR SERVICES VIA ONLINE REQUESTS

• Facility or Table Reservations with Conference Services
• Work Orders with the Print Shop (IWU account # required) 
  Student Organization Advisors have access to online work requests for the Print Shop via the family page. Please work with your advisor to make online requests to the Print Shop.
• Vehicle Request with Facilities Services (IWU account # required) 
  Student Organization Advisors have access to online requests for vehicles via Facilities Services on the family page. Please work with your advisor to make vehicle requests.

 

FUNDING INFORMATION/FORMS

For those student organizations who would like to request funds from the Student Government Organization or utilize funds that have been allocated by the SGO, the following information applies:

• Student Government Allocations Manual
  (outlines the process, requirements and restrictions for SGO funds)
• Student Organization Budget Proposal Forms
  Student Organization Allocation Explanation Form 
  (forms to be completed when requested funds from SGO)
• Student Organization Special Budget Request Form 
  (form to be used to request SGO funds for an unexpected opportunity)
• Student Organization Request for Change of Use of Funding 
  (form to be used to request SGO funds be used for a purpose other than what was initially requested)

When student organizations would like to use the funds granted to them by SGO, they must complete an Expenditure Request Form (ERF) and submit it to the SGO VP for Financial Affairs (in the SGO office, Student Center 252). ERFs are available in the SGO Office and Student Development Office. Please allow adequate time to process your request.
