Admissions Student Worker

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Admissions Associate:
- Give campus tours to students and parents visiting the campus.
- Maintain the supply of materials in the campus visit rooms.
- House visiting students overnight as needed.
- Help with Admissions' Summer Visit Day.
- Assist with Admissions sponsored events such as Bible Bow, TNT, etc.
- Tele-counseling:
- Phone Students
- as a follow-up from their campus visit
- who have recently inquired via a phone call or SAT/ACT scores
- from a geographical list of prospective students
- to promote the summer visit day
- Maintain accurate information of calls in the database
- Assist prospective students in the college decision-making process
- build relationships with students and parents
- answer questions about IWU
- share their IWU testimony
- Clerical:
- Enter prospective student information into the database.
- Process daily mail.
- Run errands as needed
- Assist with the maintenance of Admissions automobiles.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Switchboard:
Perform duties as needed to maintain coverage of the campus switchboard.
Skills Needed:
Clerical skills, telephone skills, pleasant personality, genuine love of IWU, flexibility, dependability
Hours:
40 hours per week during the summer; some evening work required.
Dress code during daytime hours:
Men should wear casual slacks and shirts.
Women should wear dresses, skirts or slacks and blouses.
No T-shirts, shorts, jeans or tennis shoes.
